AdobeFirefly Image Enhancement

Firefly Precise Upsampler

The Precise Upsampler increases image dimensions while aiming to retain source structure and color. Adobe corrected its API naming in April 2026: the beta had called it a creative upsampler, but the underlying model had always been the precise upsampler.

Enlargement still needs an image review

Adobe’s usage guide warns that larger enlargements can amplify grain, add edge halos or change fine facial detail. It also states that output is RGB even when input is CMYK. These limits matter for identity-sensitive photographs and print preparation.Firefly upscaling behavior and limitations

The old name does not describe a second model

The April correction changed the accepted header and schema names without changing the service behavior. Older guides use different endpoint examples. Follow the current endpoint schema for a new integration and retain the earlier name only when interpreting old requests.Firefly API release and retirement history
