Firefly Image Model 1
The original Firefly model entered beta in March 2023 for image generation and text effects. It established the first release of Adobe’s creative model family. Current Photoshop documentation still lists Firefly Image 1 as a Generative Fill choice.
The remaining route edits a selected image area
Photoshop’s workflow starts with a selection. The user chooses a model and enters an instruction, or leaves the prompt blank so surrounding pixels guide the fill. The continued Image 1 entry in that selector does not establish that every original Firefly web feature is still offered.Current Photoshop Generative Fill model choices
An older model can produce a different visual result
Practical guidance. When revising an existing composite, compare the join between generated and original pixels. Check lighting, texture scale and edge detail. Use the model name to record which result you accepted, rather than treating all Firefly edits as interchangeable.
