Ruby
Ruby converts standard-dynamic-range video to HDR. It is a finishing model for existing footage, including uploaded clips and output from other generators. Runway describes preserving the source image and audio while extending brightness and color.
Choose the format for the next step
Ruby offers playback formats, editorial ProRes files and EXR sequences for compositing. Alpha can pass through in EXR or ProRes 4444. The service may crop output dimensions to a multiple of 16, so inspect frame dimensions as well as the HDR profile.Runway Ruby HDR conversion
Check the master in a color-managed workflow
Practical guidance. Choose the delivery format before conversion. Inspect highlights, skin tones and graphics in the application used for the final export. An HDR file viewed in an unsuitable player can look different from the intended result. Retain the original footage as the reference for the review.
