A distributed research company
Reka emerged from stealth on June 27, 2023. It announced $60 million in funding led by DST Global Partners and founding investor Radical Ventures. Snowflake Ventures also participated. The company described a remote-first team spread across countries.
Funding supported enterprise platforms
In July 2025, Reka announced a further $110 million investment with NVIDIA and Snowflake among its backers. Its Vision and Research platforms had reached general availability. Vision handled video and image search, while Research combined web and private-document information.
Moonvalley added video research expertise
The June 2026 merger brought Mateusz Malinowski and Mikołaj Bińkowski into Reka’s research leadership. The combined team set out to build models that connect perception, simulation and robotic action. Reka described four areas: Labs research, Infer infrastructure, Vision video processing and Claru training data.
