Ray3

Ray3 introduced Luma’s HDR video workflow, including 10-, 12- and 16-bit output options described in its launch materials. Its original product guide includes draft generation and high-quality video generation as different working modes.

HDR was part of the generation workflow

Luma positioned Ray3 for film and visual-effects work by supporting HDR output and EXR delivery. Its launch also described an Adobe Firefly integration. HDR describes the image signal and delivery options; it does not establish that every later Ray editing operation supports the same format.Ray3 announcement

Move existing integrations by operation

Luma maps old Reference work to generation or editing with keyframes, and Refiner work to video_edit. The new API rejects the old model identifiers. Preserve the intended task, then choose its supported request type instead of looking for a replacement endpoint for every legacy name.Legacy Ray migration guide

Practical guidance. Keep a record of the format and color workflow used for older exports. When you move a project, inspect both the rendered clip and its interpretation in the editing application. A correct file extension alone does not establish a correct color pipeline.
