Ray2 Flash
Ray2 Flash is a legacy Ray video model. Luma’s older Reframe guide distinguishes it from Ray2 by the accepted clip length: up to 30 seconds for Flash, compared with ten seconds for Ray2. That limit applies to reframing supplied video, not to every generation request.

Reframing creates space around an existing clip
The older Reframe workflow changes a video’s canvas for a new aspect ratio. It can be useful when adapting a landscape shot to a portrait layout, but it must generate content where the source contains no pixels. The documented Flash input limit should not be carried over to a different model or endpoint.Luma’s legacy Reframe guide
Do not carry the Flash name into the new API
Luma says legacy access continues during the account’s notice period. New requests use ray-3.2 and an operation type. Check the notice for the actual cutoff.Legacy Ray migration guide
Practical guidance. If a workflow chose Flash for short response times, measure the replacement under the expected load. Revisit concurrency and timeouts using actual results. The family relationship does not promise the same response time or output behavior.
