Granite 20B Code Instruct 8K is a May 2024 code model fine-tuned from the corresponding base. It remains downloadable, and IBM lists the 20B code-instruct model for dedicated watsonx deployment.
Release details
Training includes filtered code commits, mathematical instructions, SQL, API-calling examples and general language instructions. The checkpoint uses the GPTBigCode architecture. Practical guidance. This earlier code model is useful when reproducing an established integration or comparison. Its 8K context requires deliberate selection of files and instructions. Do not assume that its larger parameter count compensates for code that was omitted from the input.
