Command A Reasoning adds controlled thinking to Cohere's 111-billion-parameter model line. It supports 23 languages, a 256,000-token context and responses up to 32,000 tokens.

When this model fits
Practical guidance. Use this model for questions that require a sequence of decisions, such as checking a proposed plan against several constraints. Give it the constraints and ask for a final answer with evidence that a reviewer can inspect. Compare reasoning budgets by completed task quality and response time. Extra thinking is not a substitute for supplying missing facts or checking calculations with a tool.
