ERNIE 5.5 Flash Base is the pretrained language checkpoint released on 5 November 2026. It has 280B total parameters and activates 14B per token. It has not received instruction or agent post-training.
Architecture and access
Its 43-layer network combines compressed attention with latent sparse attention and multiple expert routers. The base release is intended for continued training, instruction tuning and reinforcement learning. A large supported window does not establish reliable retrieval across every position. Commercial license conditions
The license permits qualifying commercial use without a model license charge at annual related-product revenue of US$50 million or less, with attribution and a one-time notice.
