Current leadership
Robin Li has chaired Baidu’s board since January 2000. The current leadership biography records his appointment as chief executive officer in February 2004. His co-founder role and continuing executive role are distinct from the ownership of the publicly traded company.
Headquarters and corporate structure
Baidu’s principal executive offices are at its campus on Shangdi 10th Street in Beijing’s Haidian District. Baidu, Inc. is the listed holding company. Its mainland operations use subsidiaries and contractual arrangements with variable interest entities. The holding company and an individual operating entity should not be treated as the same legal organization.
Business development
Baidu’s 2025 annual report describes AI investment dating from 2010. Its current research catalog includes the ERNIE language and multimodal families, image generation, document recognition and audio-video research. These model releases sit within a wider technology business rather than a separate company called ERNIE.
Model coverage
This guide covers current named Qianfan services and major downloadable Baidu and PaddlePaddle checkpoints with identifiable access terms. It distinguishes base models, post-trained models and inference formats. It does not list every quantization, old hosted alias or experimental repository. The service console remains the source for account-specific API availability.
