Claude Opus 4.7

Claude Opus 4.7 is an active coding and reasoning model with higher-resolution image processing than Opus 4.6. Its tokenizer change matters when comparing operating costs.

The same input can use more tokens

Anthropic reports that the new tokenizer can count the same input as roughly 1.0 to 1.35 times as many tokens, depending on content. Higher effort can also increase output use. Equal prices per token therefore do not establish an equal bill for the same task.Introducing Claude Opus 4.7
