Codestral 22B 2405
Codestral 2405 introduced Mistral’s dedicated coding line. Its 22B checkpoint handles code instructions and fill-in-the-middle completion. The downloadable release uses the Mistral Non-Production License.
Two code input formats
The checkpoint was trained on more than 80 programming languages. Instruction prompts can request explanations, documentation or new functions. Fill-in-the-middle input supplies code before and after a gap, so completion can use both sides of the edit. These are modes of the same checkpoint.Codestral 22B 2405 official model card
Use of the downloadable release
The launch distinguishes community evaluation under MNPL from commercial self-deployment under separate terms. An accessible download does not give this release the Apache 2.0 permissions used by Codestral Mamba.
