S5 is Maritaca's latest Sabiá generation, released on 3 November 2026. It combines adjustable reasoning, long-document work and multi-step tool workflows, with access through chat and API.

Practical guidance. S5 is a useful comparison for a Portuguese workflow that must read substantial source material and then take several steps. Start with a focused question and identify which sources should control the answer. Compare reasoning settings on completed tasks and response time. For code work, supply the real project rules and failure output. A million-token allowance is not a reason to include irrelevant files or duplicate source material.
