ALLaM 34B
ALLaM 34B powers the HUMAIN Chat product introduced in August 2025. The company describes an Arabic-first model that also works in English and builds on the earlier ALLaM program.
ALLaM includes more than one training approach
The earlier ALLaM paper distinguishes new pretraining from adaptation of existing language models. A shared family name or parameter count does not prove that the 2025 HUMAIN Chat checkpoint is identical to a research checkpoint described in 2024.NCAI's 2024 ALLaM research paper
Chat features do not all belong to the model
HUMAIN Chat adds web search, speech input and conversation sharing. Those product features do not establish that ALLaM 34B itself accepts raw audio or retrieves current web pages without additional tools.HUMAIN's ALLaM 34B and Chat announcement
Areeb Alowisheq's ArabicNLP keynote describes evaluation for real deployments and feedback systems around ALLaM. It also names contextual memory as a Chat feature. This shows why a product evaluation can measure more than the underlying 34B model alone.Areeb Alowisheq's ALLaM keynote in the ArabicNLP 2025 proceedings
