SalamandraTA 7B v1
SalamandraTA 7B v1 is the first versioned 7B translation release based on BSC's multilingual Salamandra model.
Model and training
BSC applied continued pretraining on parallel text, followed by translation instruction tuning. The v1 card covers 35 European languages and three varieties. It supports several translation-related tasks, including post-editing and grammar correction. The v1.0 repository branch retains Apache 2.0 terms; those terms must not be confused with the current v3 license.SalamandraTA 7B v1: official model card
Practical use
Practical guidance. Pin the v1.0 revision when reproducing this release. A download from the repository's main branch can select a different trained model and license. For translation evaluation, keep terminology handling and language-pair coverage separate from general fluency. Use v1 as a dated baseline for the later revisions.
